A smile crept across the pale form standing in a hall filled with rubble, two bodies before her. The corner of her lip hid a pearly glow, Something caught in the light. Something precious, that, in the morning's light, lost all of it's meaning. It rolled down her pearly, deathly-gray tinted chin, moving slowly down her neck to meet with her collar. The pearl hid itself there, Obscured by the shadows. The girl's smile faded. She heard a whale's calls. An even larger smile spread itself across her lips. She turned on her heel, fading off into the shadows. Her eyes glinted in the darkness, glowing faintly-- A dead glow. One of an innocence lost, lost among the viciousness of her home. Her once-golden hair, caked with dirt and grime. The whale sound came closer. Around the corner now, its green finding her gold. She took an unknown hand. She chanced a look back.
She withdrew her hand from the Giant's.
The familiar sound.
